Surakarta City July 2023 Experiencing Inflation of 0.31 Percent

In July 2023 the City of Surakarta experienced inflation of 0.31 percent with  The Consumer Price Index was 117.04.  This inflation is due to an increase  prices indicated by rising consumer price index numbers.  The expenditure group that experienced an increase in the price index, namely: group  food, beverages and tobacco rose 0.66 percent, the clothing and footwear group  feet up 0.08 percent, the housing, water, electricity and home fuels group  households rose 0.19 percent, the health group rose 0.04 percent, group  transportation rose 0.34 percent, the education group rose 1.01 percent, group  provision of food, drinks/restaurants rose 0.07 percent and group  personal care and other services rose 0.11 percent.  Instead the group  equipment, tools and routine household maintenance fell 0.03  percent, the information, communication and financial services group fell 0.01 percent  and the recreation, sports and culture group fell 0.26 percent.  The calendar year (January-July) 2023 inflation rate is 1.91 percent and the  year-on-year inflation (July 2023 against July 2022) of 3.69 percent.  Of the 6 cities in Central Java Province whose inflation rate was calculated, in July  In 2023, all cities will experience inflation.  The highest inflation occurred in the city  Surakarta by 0.31 percent, followed by the city of Semarang by 0.23 percent, the city  Kudus by 0.17 percent, the city of Purwokerto by 0.15 percent, the city of Tegal  by 0.08 percent and the city of Cilacap by 0.02 percent.  Of the 90 cities national CPI, 77 cities experienced inflation and 13 cities experienced  deflation.  The city that experienced the highest inflation was Manokwari  1.43 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Bulukumba at 0.01 percent.  On the other hand, the biggest deflation occurred in the city of Tual by 0.50 percent and deflation  the smallest occurred in the city of Palangkaraya and the city of Banjarmasin respectively  by 0.01 percent.
