Development of the Surakarta Municipality Consumer Price Index June 2024

In June 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Surakarta City will be 2.51 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.36.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.85 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.94 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.82 percent; health group at 0.68 percent; transportation group by 2.15 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.92 percent; education group by 1.66 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group was 2.06 percent and the personal care and other services group was 3.42 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.19 percent and information, communication and financial services group by 0.40 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Surakarta City in June 2024 is 0.34 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in June 2024 is 0.82 percent.
