Development of Consumer Price Index Surakarta Municipality January 2025

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Surakarta City of 1.25 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.70.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 4.14 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.70 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.11 percent; health group by 2.94 percent; transportation group by 1.42 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.79 percent; education group by 3.46 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.43 percent and personal care and other services group by 5.42 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 9.33 percent and information, communication and financial services group by 0.34 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Surakarta City in January 2025 was 0.35 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate in January 2025 was 0.35 percent.
