Abstract

Since the announcement of a positive case of being infected with COVID-19 in Central Java on March 13, 2020, various anticipatory steps to minimize the spread of COVID-19 have been taken by the Central Java Provincial Government, including appeal for physical-distancing, enforcing work from home (WFH), closing the center. shopping and tourist attractions, as well as reducing the density of workers in the industrial sector. However, the spread of COVID-19 is still continuing.
As an institution assigned to present statistics, the Surakarta City BPS also takes a role in responding to the current precarious situation by producing additional statistics to support efforts to accelerate the handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Surakarta City.
The publication of the Profile of the City of Surakarta in the New Normal Era The Analysis of the Results of the Covid-19 Impact Socio-Economic Survey aims to provide information to stakeholders, in order to prepare plans and steps quickly and strategically in dealing with this pandemic, both for prevention (preventive) , prevention, as well as for recovery (recovery).
I thank all the respondents who helped fill out the questionnaire and the technical team that compiled this publication. Hopefully we can get through this Covid-19 pandemic safely.
