Abstract

The number of workers based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 286.15 thousand people, down 5.71 thousand people compared to the workforce in August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) fell by 1.76 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 4.61 percent, up 0.038 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The working population in August 2024 was 272.95 thousand people, down 5.56 thousand people from August 2023. The business sector that experienced the largest increase was Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries by 0.21 thousand people.
In August 2024, 166.98 thousand people (61.18 percent) worked in formal activities, up 1.06 percentage points compared to August 2023.
