Development of Tourism and Air Transportation in Surakarta in May 2019

The star occupancy rate (TPK) in Surakarta City in May 2019 was recorded at 39.66 percent, a decrease of 17.63 points compared to the TPK in April 2019 which was recorded at 57.29 percent. While the ROR for non-star hotels / other accommodations averaged 26.78 percent, a decrease of 7.94 points compared to the TPK in April 2019 which reached 34.72 percent.
The average length of stay (RLM) of all star hotel guests in May 2019 was 1.38 days, a decrease of 0.01 points compared to April 2019 which was recorded at 1.39 days.
The number of commercial airplane passengers arriving through Adi Sumarmo airport in May 2019 amounted to 57,718 people, consisting of 51,461 passengers on domestic flights and 3,257 passengers on international flights. This number decreased by 16.22 percent compared to the previous month, which was recorded at 65,311 people.
Passengers departing from Adi Sumarmo airport numbered 41,701 people consisting of 40,357 passengers on domestic flights and 1,344 passengers on international flights. This number shows a decrease of 36.20 percent compared to the previous month which amounted to 65,357 people.
