Joint Market Operation Monitoring by Deputy Minister of Trade, Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Surakarta

The Head of BPS Surakarta City also attended the Monitoring of Food Supply and Price Security during the Fasting Month and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2025 in Surakarta (4/3).

The activity, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Trade, Mrs. Dyah Roro Esti, along with her entourage, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, the Regional Inflation Control Team and the Surakarta City Food Task Force, aims to maintain price stability and monitor the availability of food during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446H.

In addition to monitoring prices at Pasar Gede Solo, the Deputy Minister of Trade and her entourage also monitored the Cheap Food Movement activities at the Gladag Solo Post Office. The commodities of concern are chilies, garlic and cooking oil.

The Deputy Minister of Trade said that this monitoring of food prices and supplies was carried out as an effort to ensure that prices on the market are still under control, even in the cheap food movement food commodities are presented below the Highest Retail Price.

The Head of BPS Surakarta City conveyed the inflation conditions in February 2025, which were still influenced by the electricity subsidy policy. In addition, food commodities that contributed to inflation and deflation in February 2025 were also conveyed.
