Prospective SUSENAS MARCH 2020 Officer Training

February 7, 2020 | BPS Activities

Surakarta - Approximately 60 candidates for the National Social Economic Survey (SUSENAS) in March 2020 were gathered at the Paragon Hotel, Surakarta. Divided into two waves, namely Wave I (28-31 January 2020) and Wave II (3-6 February 2020). They were trained for about 3 days in the SUSENAS Prospective Officer Training.
Susenas is a supplier of 55 of the 183 SDGs indicators. Three of the 11 2020-2024 development macro targets are calculated using SUSENAS data. In addition, three of the four national development targets, namely poverty, gini ratio, and the Human Development Index (HDI) use SUSENAS data.

Almost every year there is always something new from Susenas. In order to realize the Indonesian Data One, BPS together with the Indonesian Ministry of Health integrated SUSENAS with the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI), the Individual Consumption Survey (SKMI), and the Drinking Water Quality Survey (SKAM). March 2020 Susenas is integrated with SSGI and SKMI, while September 2020 Susenas is integrated with SKAM.

In the opening of the training, Totok Tavirijanto (Head of BPS of Surakarta City) said that besides being SUSENAS officers, the officers were also expected to become agents of the 2020 Population Census. Totok hopes that all officers will contribute to the success of the Online Population Census which will be held February 15-March 31, 2020.
